Chase and I have begun to register for classes for next semester. He will be taking somewhere around 18hrs and I plan on taking somewhere around 17hrs. Needless to say we are wanting speed up our time here at seminary. This semester is already pretty much over and we are anticipating the next. Classes have been decent this time around, the majority have been interesting with a few maintaining their expected standard of boredom. However, as glad as I am to be in N.O., I am ready for classes to be finished.
As far as work goes, Chase is still working at the N.O. Country Club in the golf area and I am still working at Celebration Church in their communications department. We are living tight these days as both our cars have decided to breakdown in more ways than one over the past few months. Their breaking down could possibly be attributed to the massive pot-holes here in N.O. Some big enough to swallow your entire vehicle! But in any case, despite the stingy living, our God is good and is providing for us daily. Just this past Thursday night my Pastor from back home came through with a friend of his; they bought us dinner and then a full tank of gas...all of which is greatly greatly appreciated.
We are still involved in Celebration, through the leading of a small group, called a Life Group. The group meets once a week to simply discuss life and the role God plays as a part of our lives; what it means to live in relationship with Him. Our Life Group is going well, we have some really awesome people who are a part of it, people who truly do care about the world outside. Meeting and getting to know people here who are interested in what goes on outside the four walls of some building is definitely refreshing, and that's what we have discovered at Celebration and within our L.G. We are hoping to be able to multiply groups by the end of this year, meaning hopefully we will get too big and therefore require some of our members to step up and begin leading a L.G. themselves (which I am completely confident any of them could do at this point).
We are still learning what it means to live in relationship with God, with one another, with our new found friends, with people that typically we would never have considered maintaining a relationship with, but for some reason have come across our paths. This is an excellent time in life. A time of discovery. A time of adventure. A time when today really does feel like all we have guaranteed, while at the same time resting in the fact that He has promised us a "hope and a future."
